Look Health — Zoom Integration Guide

Last updated: May 31, 2026

This guide explains how Look Health consultants connect a Zoom account to host video consultations, what data is used, and how to remove the integration.

1. Overview

Look Health offers optional video consultations between members and licensed consultants. Consultants may choose Google Meet or Zoom as their video platform. When Zoom is selected and connected, Look Health creates a Zoom meeting for each confirmed booking and shares the join link with the member and consultant.

Look Health uses one Zoom OAuth application (User-managed). Consultants authorize their own Zoom account; Look Health does not use consultants’ Zoom passwords.

2. Who can use this integration

  • Registered consultants with access to the Look Health consultant portal.
  • Look Health must have Zoom platform credentials configured by the site administrator.

Members (patients) do not connect Zoom. They receive a join link after booking a consultation.

3. How to add the integration

  1. Sign in to the Look Health consultant portal.
  2. Open Profile (or your consultant settings page).
  3. Under Video Platform, select Zoom.
  4. Click Connect Zoom Account.
  5. Sign in with the Zoom account you use for consultations and click Allow when prompted.
  6. When connected, your profile will show that Zoom is linked. New confirmed bookings will receive Zoom meeting links automatically.

If your organization uses its own Zoom Marketplace app (advanced), your administrator may provide a Client ID and Secret on the profile page instead of the shared Look Health app.

4. How the app uses Zoom

After you connect Zoom, Look Health may:

  • Create scheduled Zoom meetings when a member completes a paid or complimentary consultation booking.
  • Store the meeting join URL on the booking record so the member and consultant can join from Look Health (confirmation page, email, and bookings list).
  • Optionally attach the meeting link to a Google Calendar event if you have connected Google Calendar (calendar event without a separate Google Meet link).
  • Delete or cancel meetings when a booking is cancelled, where supported by Zoom APIs.

Look Health requests the following Zoom OAuth scopes:

  • meeting:write:meeting — create and update meetings
  • meeting:delete:meeting — remove meetings when bookings are cancelled
  • user:read:user — identify your Zoom user for meeting creation

5. Data processed

When you connect Zoom, Look Health stores an OAuth refresh token (encrypted) associated with your consultant account so meetings can be created on your behalf. We do not store your Zoom password.

Meeting metadata (topic, start time, duration, join URL) is stored with the booking. Member names and emails may appear in meeting titles or calendar invites as part of normal scheduling. See our Privacy Policy for how we handle personal information.

6. How to remove the integration

You can disconnect Zoom at any time:

  1. Go to Consultant Profile in the Look Health portal.
  2. Click Disconnect Zoom (or equivalent control on your profile).
  3. Switch Video Platform to Google Meet if you will no longer use Zoom for new bookings.

You may also revoke Look Health’s access from your Zoom account:

  1. Sign in at zoom.us.
  2. Open Apps or Connected Apps (wording may vary).
  3. Remove the Look Health application.

Existing bookings may still show previously created join links until those meetings expire or are cancelled in Zoom.

7. Troubleshooting

  • “Invalid redirect” or authorization fails: Ensure the Look Health administrator has registered the correct OAuth redirect URL in the Zoom Marketplace app and, during development, added your Zoom email to Local Test.
  • No meeting link on a booking: Confirm Zoom is connected, Video Platform is set to Zoom, and the booking is confirmed. Check that the booking was created after connecting Zoom.
  • Wrong Zoom account: Disconnect in Look Health, revoke the app in Zoom, then connect again with the correct account.
